Bonnie Brae Leadership
Our congregation began in the home of G.W. Conrad in Laurel, Virginia. Lynwood T. Bosher, then an elder at the Gethsemane Church of Christ began conducting Bible classes there in 1942. As attendance grew a new congregation was formed and brother Bosher was installed as the first minister to the congregation. In February of 1947 the congregation purchased the property where the current facility stands on the “beautiful hill” or Bonnie Brae.
While we have changed with the times to help accommodate the busy lifestyles, cultural influences and variety of family dynamics, we remain true to our long standing mission to impact the lives of our congregation and community with “relevant worship, Bible study, fellowship and use of spiritual gifts” that is laid out in scripture and exemplified by the First Century Church. We remain devoted to preaching and practicing the essential doctrines of faith, helping people develop a personal and life changing relationship with Jesus Christ and working in the community to help those in need.
